Wow! It's cold in Florida. When we relocated from one of the northern states to Florida we expected that we would have warm weather all year round. As a native of a warm country, I did my time in the "ice box" of New York (yes NY City and later NY Sate). I love NY but hate the winters.
Today those of us who care about our plants found warm blankets with which to keep them warm since our temperatures will dip below freezing for more than two hours (known as a hard freeze).
As I sit here and enjoy my pity party, I feel for those who live in the colder states. My daughter in Wisconsin reports having to plug in her car at night to keep the engine warm. She has also reported temperatures of -40 degrees F, too cold for schools to open. To those of you who live in those states, I feel for you and say a prayer for your safety.
I look forward to warmer weather soon for all of us.
